Introduction

My lovely Munchkins, 🦚🤍

I know the Kingdom Introduction might feel a little long, but I sincerely request each one of you to read it with patience. This introduction, along with the family tree, is the very foundation of this novel. Every kingdom, every relationship, every political alliance, and every character you'll meet later is connected to it in one way or another.

If you skip it, I promise you'll end up asking yourself, "Wait... who's related to whom?" or "Why is this happening?" 😂

I actually spent a lot of time building the world of Mayuradish—its history, politics, royal families, traditions, and everything that makes this kingdom feel alive. Every little detail has a purpose, even if it doesn't seem important at first.

So, grab a cup of coffee (or chai 🤭), get comfortable, and let's step into the world of Mayuradish together.

Happy reading, my Munchkins! 🤍🦚

The Kingdom of Mayuradish

If there was one kingdom that seemed as though Mother Nature herself had poured every shade of her beauty into it, it was undoubtedly Mayuradish. A land where emerald forests stretched beyond the eye could see, crystal-clear rivers flowed like veins through the heart of the kingdom, majestic waterfalls thundered down ancient cliffs, and towering mountains stood proudly as silent guardians of its borders. The valleys bloomed with flowers in every season, the air carried the soothing fragrance of sandalwood and wild blossoms, and the skies were rarely without the graceful dance of peacocks. From the rarest white peacock to the common blue ones, these magnificent birds could be found throughout the kingdom, becoming not only the pride of its people but also the eternal symbol of Mayuradish itself. Beneath its mountains rested precious gemstones so rare that merchants crossed kingdoms just to possess them, while its fertile lands yielded harvests capable of feeding entire nations. Its treasury overflowed with unimaginable wealth, its army was feared across distant lands, and its name commanded respect wherever it was spoken. To the outside world, Mayuradish appeared nothing less than a kingdom blessed by the heavens themselves.

But kingdoms are not born glorious.

Every mighty empire has a history hidden beneath its greatness, and Mayuradish was no different. Long before it became one of the strongest kingdoms of its era, Mayuradish was merely a medium-sized realm—neither poor enough to be forgotten nor powerful enough to be feared. It possessed honest people, fertile lands, and a determined ruler, yet it lacked the influence that great kingdoms enjoyed. Powerful empires surrounded it from every direction, and had war broken out at that time, Mayuradish would have struggled to stand against even one of them. Maharaj Indresh Vairath, however, was not a king who believed strength alone decided the fate of a kingdom. Where others saw armies, he saw opportunities. Where others trusted swords, he trusted strategy. He understood something that many rulers failed to realize—that battles might win territories, but politics built empires.

The greatest challenge before Maharaj Indresh was simple yet impossible. No powerful kingdom would willingly send their princess to marry into a kingdom that stood below them in influence. Yet instead of seeking sympathy, Indresh chose intelligence. Over the years, he quietly positioned Mayuradish at the heart of trade routes connecting rival kingdoms, negotiated disputes that had remained unresolved for generations, and ensured that kingdoms who once viewed one another as enemies gradually became dependent upon the stability Mayuradish provided. By the time anyone realized what he had done, refusing an alliance with Mayuradish would have harmed them more than accepting one. It was a political masterpiece hidden beneath the appearance of diplomacy. One after another, three of the most influential kingdoms agreed to royal marriages, each sending one of their princesses to become Queen of Mayuradish.

Those marriages were never merely marriages.

They were the first three pillars upon which the future empire would stand. The first alliance blessed Mayuradish with fertile farmlands, advanced agricultural knowledge, and an uninterrupted supply of food even during harsh seasons. The second opened the gates of commerce, trade, skilled craftsmen, and immense financial prosperity, allowing the kingdom's wealth to multiply beyond imagination. The third alliance strengthened its military, bringing experienced generals, elite soldiers, superior weapons, and unwavering support whenever enemies dared challenge Mayuradish. Slowly, the kingdom transformed from an overlooked state into a rising power, protected not only by its own strength but also by the political bonds Maharaj Indresh had so carefully woven. Every neighboring ruler understood that attacking Mayuradish no longer meant fighting a single kingdom—it meant inviting three mighty empires into the battlefield.

Yet destiny had prepared a gift even greater than those alliances.

The greatest turning point in the history of Mayuradish arrived on a day that would forever be remembered by every generation to come. After months of relentless warfare, Maharaj Indresh finally conquered the legendary Northern Mountains, a region countless kingdoms had tried—and failed—to claim for centuries. Those mountains were considered impossible to conquer, protected by unforgiving terrain and fierce warriors. But on the very day the victorious king returned home carrying news of his greatest triumph, another celebration echoed throughout the royal palace. The First Queen had given birth to a son.

Rajkumar Shantanu Vairath.

Many believed the timing was no coincidence. Some called him destiny's chosen child. Others believed the Gods themselves had blessed Mayuradish with a prince born alongside its greatest victory. As fate would have it, the Northern Mountains proved to be far more valuable than anyone had imagined. Hidden beneath their ancient rocks were veins of extraordinarily rare gemstones unlike any found elsewhere. Those gemstones transformed Mayuradish's economy forever, attracting merchants from distant lands and filling the royal treasury beyond measure. What began as a military victory soon became the foundation of immense prosperity.

But even priceless gemstones were not Mayuradish's greatest treasure.

That honor belonged to the young prince.

From the age of fifteen, Rajkumar Shantanu Vairath rode onto battlefields alongside warriors twice his age, displaying courage and skill that seasoned generals struggled to comprehend. Victory became synonymous with his name. Kingdom after kingdom fell before his strategies, fortresses surrendered under his command, and the borders of Mayuradish expanded farther than anyone had ever dreamed possible. The prince who had been born on the day of victory slowly became the kingdom's fourth pillar—the pillar of strength. If Maharaj Indresh had built the foundation of Mayuradish through wisdom and politics, then Rajkumar Shantanu transformed that foundation into an empire through his unmatched brilliance as a warrior. Under his leadership, smaller kingdoms willingly surrendered, mighty rulers hesitated before declaring war, and Mayuradish earned its place among the greatest kingdoms of its age.

To the world, Mayuradish had become perfection.

A kingdom blessed with wealth, fertile lands, rare gemstones, unmatched warriors, political stability, and a ruler whose victories had become legends.

But history often hides its darkest truths beneath its brightest chapters.

For while the people looked upon Mayuradish as an empire blessed by fortune...

the cracks had already begun to spread within the palace walls.

Corruption quietly found its way into forgotten provinces. Certain regions suffered from famine while others flourished in abundance. Tribal communities living deep within the mountains were neglected and exploited. The cries of the helpless never reached the throne, and the trust of the people slowly began to fade—not because Mayuradish lacked a great king...

...but because someone had successfully ensured that the king was looking everywhere except his own kingdom.

And by the time Maharaj Shantanu Vairath finally opened his eyes...

Death had already reached his throne.

Because little kids and the elderly need the deepest kind of care. 💛✨ And also, those voiceless animals—they deserve the purest love. I truly believe they’re the most innocent beings God ever created. All they need is a little affection and some food, whether it’s a dog, cat, cow, or any other animal. They don’t ask for much—just kindness. 🐾💛
